Fukushima : Digital desert

Fukushima, Namie, restricted zone since the tsunami. The deserted streets, closed shops, abandoned... The remains of a presence.
Composed of Google Earth images, representations of real digitized and standardized, subject to strict standards but still unstable. A virtual representation as the only access to a deserted town, victim of the disaster of the progress.
The images slide slowly, in monotonous, ordinary rhythm. The apparent calm contrast to the violence of the disaster. Places change but it is the same desert, the same presence of the absence.
The following image arises from the previous one which becomes blurred. And in the gap of two moments and two different places, a spectral image, as a shade emerges. Kinds of persistent images printed on the retina, photographic or traumatic memory.
